Frequently asked questions
Is sailing really safe for all ages?
Absolutely. Our modern catamarans are built for stability and comfort more like floating apartments than traditional boats. They feature wide walkways, excellent balance, and are regularly maintained.
Before departure, every guest receives a full safety briefing, and each boat is led by a licensed Skipper and a trained Host certified in first aid and emergency protocols.
Whether you’re 25 or 75, you’ll be in safe hands.
What if my friends can’t align on budget or schedules? Can I come alone?
Yes you can absolutely join solo. Many of our guests travel independently because it’s hard to coordinate trips as adults.
High Seas Society is built around helping people reconnect and form genuine friendships. From curated onboard activities to thoughtful conversation prompts, every moment is designed to spark meaningful connection.
You’ll join a group of people who like you are open to meeting new friends.
Do I need sailing experience?
Not at all. Our trips are fully hosted and skippered, so you can simply show up and relax.
Our luxury catamarans are spacious, stable, and designed for comfort with multiple lounge areas and ensuite cabins. If you’re prone to seasickness, a quick Dramamine 20 minutes before sailing usually works wonders.
Just bring an open mind and a desire to unwind.
How is this different from a cruise?
Cruises prioritize scale. We prioritize depth of experience.
Instead of being one of thousands on a fixed itinerary, you’ll be one of 6–8 guests on a private catamaran exploring hidden coves, sharing meals, and forming real connections.
It’s intimate, personal, and designed to feel like a floating retreat not a mass-market vacation.
What food, drinks, and transportation are included?
All onboard meals are included, freshly prepared each day by your Host using local ingredients. You’re welcome to bring your favorite drinks or wine onboard sunsets taste better with a glass in hand.
When you choose to dine ashore, meals at restaurants are not included. If you need land transportation, we can arrange pickups and drop-offs for an additional fee.
Who will I be sailing with?
We pair you with like-minded travelers through our Crew Match System. After booking, you’ll join a short personality call so we can understand your travel style. Then we place you with guests who match your vibe chill, social, adventurous, or somewhere in between.
You’ll meet your crew in a private group chat before departure, so by the time you board, it already feels like meeting old friends.
What does the onboard Host do?
Your Host is both chef and concierge. They prepare daily meals using fresh, local ingredients and help organize land activities such as dinner reservations, tours, or wine tastings.
Their job is to make your experience seamless you just relax, swim, sip, and enjoy.
Are there additional costs?
Optional expenses may include:
• Dining at restaurants on land
• Activities like horseback riding or tours
• Meals for your skipper and host when dining ashore
• Land transportation (available on request)
We’re transparent about what’s included so there are no surprises.
What is a typical day like on board?
Expect relaxed mornings, swims in turquoise bays, fresh local lunches, and sunset dinners on deck.
Cabin yachts host 6–8 guests plus crew, and you’ll meet your boatmates in our app before the trip.
We aim for balanced group dynamics and a comfortable social environment throughout the week.
